Kaufes
Kaufes is a Swiss marketplace where people buy through auctions or at a fixed price. I built the frontend for browsing, buying, listing, and shipping — the parts people actually touch when they're trying to buy or sell something.

Making two different ways to buy feel like one product
Kaufes lets people buy an item two ways: bid in an auction, or buy it now at a fixed price. Someone browsing needs to search for an item, understand what they're looking at, pick how they want to buy it, and see what it'll cost to ship — without the two buying paths feeling like two different apps.
I built the frontend for all of that, working with the backend, design, and Swiss Post's shipping team. That also covered payments and the checks that keep listings and sellers trustworthy.
What I actually did
Making sure the marketplace stayed usable as people moved from finding an item to actually buying it.
Build both buying flows so they feel like one product
I built responsive auction and buy-now interfaces that work the same way on a phone as they do on a bigger screen.
Wire up search and payments
I connected real-time search and payment processing to the frontend, working with the backend team on exactly what data each step needed.
Handle shipping and trust
I built location-based shipping options, listing moderation, and verified-seller badges, so buyers could see shipping costs and know who they were buying from.
One product, from search to shipping
My frontend work brought auctions, fixed-price buying, search, payments, and shipping together into one responsive product. I also reviewed code and helped debug for junior developers on the team during the build.
