Supporting different ways to read, listen, and pray
A Quran reader isn’t one feature, it’s several: reading Arabic script, following a transliteration, comparing translations, listening to a recitation, or saving a verse to come back to. People use whichever combination fits them.
I built those reading and listening features, plus a set of Islamic tools used across the rest of the platform, from prayer times to finding the direction of the Qibla.
What I actually did
Letting people choose how they read, listen, and find what they need day to day.
Give readers real choices
I built support for different Arabic script styles, transliterations, translations, and verse bookmarking.
Connect reading with listening
I added audio recitations and Tajweed playback alongside the written verses, so people could switch between reading and listening without losing their place.
Build the everyday tools people actually use
I built embeddable widgets for prayer times, Hijri–Gregorian date conversion, the 99 Names, Kalimas, and Ramadan countdowns, plus a Qibla compass, a location-aware prayer scheduler, and a Zakat calculator.
One app for reading, listening, and daily prayer tools
My work brought Quran reading, recitation, and everyday Islamic tools like prayer times and Zakat into a single web app.
